DRC VISA APPLICATION INFORMATION

Obtaining DRC's VISA is possible wherever you are, regardless of the absence of a DRC embassy or representatives in your native country. First and foremost, you must search for the diplomatic mission of the Democratic Republic of Congo in your home country. If not available, you can look to other neighboring countries that may host one. Please go there and ask for all the vital information for a successful application when you find one. It may require you an invitation letter that we will provide you (We specialize in editing the invitation letter for free to support your VISA application process. Types of VISA

Obtaining a visa is necessary for any foreign person that wishes to enter Congolese territory.

TRAVEL / VISITOR VISA

The Services issue it near the diplomatic missions and consular offices of the DRC abroad, it gives the beneficiary the possibility to cross the border if it fulfils the following conditions:

  • Hold a valid passport,

  • Have sufficient means of subsistence

  • Being taken in charge by a legal or physical person regularly established in the DRC.

ESTABLISHMENT

It is issued to foreigners wishing to settle in the DRC, conferring to the resident's status and the possibility of exercising professional or economic activities under the conditions set by law.

PERMANENT / RESIDENT VISA

The DGM is responsible for the application for a Permanent / resident visa. No requests are available in DRC diplomatic missions in other countries. The applicant must have resided in the DRC for more than five years (either working or being engaged in an on-site activity).

NB: The Travel Visa does not authorize the exercise of the remunerated activity in the DRC. The validity of this visa is a maximum of six months. However, the Directorate General of Migration may extend this visa for one, two, or three months to a total of six months.

FLYING VISA

It is an authorization granted by the Director-General to an expatriate coming from a country where the DRC does not have diplomatic or consular representation. This authorization allows the interested candidate to arrive at the border and benefit from an airport or port visa to access the Congolese territory. Flying visa is also granted to the guests of the Congolese Government.

AIRPORT / PORT VISA

Airport/ port visa is issued at entry post to a recipient of Volant Visa with the express authorization of Director-General. Its validity is seven days. After this period, the applicant will have to regularize his stay with the Chancery Services at the Directorate General or Provincial of Migration.

FREE VISA

Nationals of Rwanda, Burundi, Congo Brazzaville, and Zimbabwe are exempt from visa application.

PROCEDURES FOR OBTAINING A CONGOLESE VISA

Nationals of the following countries may obtain a visa upon a border crossing: Kenya, Mauritius, and Tanzania. The flying target, which is valid for seven days, requires the complainant to justify his request by providing a letter to the Director-General of the Directorate-General for Migration, a copy of his passport, and a copy of the person's identity in charge of the person.

All other nationalities from countries with Congolese diplomatic representation (Embassies or Consulates) must obtain a visa before coming to the DRC. These diplomatic missions will ensure that all the necessary conditions are complied with.

All foreign journalists must enter the DRC from the capital Kinshasa.

The formalities may vary according to your country of residence. Therefore, it is advisable to approach the diplomatic missions (Embassies or Consulates) to consult the information corresponding to your country of residence.

CRITERIA FOR OBTAINING A VISA CONGOLAIS

1. Apply for a visa in an Embassy or Consulate of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in your country of residence is the nearest country (see jurisdiction)

2. Present a valid passport (Original with at least three empty pages)

3. Submit a proof of residence in the country of application (copy accepted);

4. Financial proof (bank statement or pay-slip)

5. Evidence of criminal record (certified copy)

6. Please pay for the visa application form and fill it out in the due form

7. Capture and borrow.

FEES AND TIME LIMITS

Visa fees may vary depending on the currency of the country of application. In addition, the visa period varies according to the type of passport and also varies from 2 to 10 working days. Therefore, it is necessary to request in time to allow granting of visas before the deadlines.
